Manuscript
Manuscript is a club run by senior students in the Tapestry QRT who have taken AP English 11. Students (you) are encouraged and welcome to come to room 176 during QRT any day of the week to get help with your writing, to have your writing revised, and/or to get help with grammar. Even if you are just looking for another opinion on your work, we will be there to help. We will help with ALL types of writing, including creative writing, school-related work, and college essays. Come visit Manuscript in room 176!

Getting to Know Emma Lloyd
1. Role in Tapestry: Apprentice
2. Favorite Breakfast Food: Belgian Waffles
3. Favorite Artists: Fleet Foxes, Dr Dog, Grateful Dead
4. Color of My Room: Right now it's sort of an ocean blue, but I'll be painting it a cream color soon.
5. Favorite Season: Fall or Winter. Sweater weather.
6. Disney Movie: Pocahontas or The Lion King
7. Favorite Literature: Harry Potter and most of the John Green books.
8. Preferred Way of Creative Expression: Writing and Filmmaking
9. Most Creative Thing I Did This Summer: I took a really cool pottery class at the Carnegie Museum, and got to use the pottery wheel - which is harder than it looks...
10. Coffee or Tea: I don't really drink either, but tea.

Getting to Know McKenna!
Hey all! Sorry this post is so late! The college application season is evidently upon us.
1. Role in Tapestry: Editor in Chief
2. Favorite breakfast food: peanut butter poptarts (they taste like thumbprint cookies!)
3. Favorite artist: Florence and the Machine
4. Color of room: 'Easter Egg Purple' (I picked out this color when I was six becuase I thought the name was 'cool')
5. Favorite season: winter
6. Favorite Disney movie: Brave (largely because I spent the entire movie secretly envying her hair)
7. Favorite Piece of Literature: 'The House on Mango Street' by Sandra Cisneros
8. Preferred Method of Creative Expression: writing!
9. Most creative thing I did this summer: I wrote for two solid weeks at a writing workshop at Kenyon College
10. Coffee or tea? French vanilla tea
11. Spirit animal: fish
12. Secret talent: I can wiggle my ears (admittedly, it's kind of a slow wiggle)
13. Superpower: Photographic memory

Manuscript Tutor Schedule
Hey All! This is for Manuscript Tutors:
I am thinking we should do a similar setup to last year's Manuscript - rotating days.
Each of you will be assigned a day to be the "main" tutor. If it is not your day, you are still expected to help if more students come in to get work reviewed.
Here's an example of our first schedule, starting the week of September 1: (Written with your initals)
Monday: NO SCHOOL

Wednesday: H.S.
Thursday: NO SCHOOL

Tapestry Icebreakers: Rachel Stein
1. Role in Tapestry: Head of Communications
2. Favorite desert: Anything covered in chocolate! But chocolate covered strawberries are the best.
3. Summer playlist/Favorite Artists: I had the awesome opportunity to meet an amazing artist and songwriter this summer named Eric Hunker! He just released a new song on YouTube last week called "If There Was No You". Check it out! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TdmlpJmEvF4
